Project Manager / Account Manager



Description:


Project Managers (PM) and Account Managers (AM) are key management positions on the KG Team. These positions are responsible for the day-to-day management of their experiential programs and oversee the development, profitable implementation, and evaluation of their programs. The PM position is focused on the operational side of the business while the AM position has the additional charge of cultivating client relationships.

Responsibilities


  1. Develops and manages project budgets and subsequent revisions, revenue forecasting, client billing, develops and evaluates the project KPIs (key performance indicators) employee performance objectives & evaluation, and insurance, safety and DOT compliance.
  2. Interfaces directly with the client as necessary to manage the day-to-day activities of assigned project(s). Performs various client service related functions (e.g. attends client meetings, prepares contact reports, handles client requests, keeps client (and KG management) informed of the status of their project(s) on a regular basis, etc.).
  3. Manages Field Staff including recruitment, training, assignment, evaluation and termination of employees needed to execute the project(s).
  4. Responsible for developing production timelines and daily tour/event schedules to ensure that events are executed on time, on budget and with the highest quality possible.
  5. Proactively takes the lead in the equipment fabrication process and the development of creative materials. Successfully manages 3rd party vendors and outside agencies needed to successfully create the materials.
  6. Works with various event venues and organizations negotiating and coordinating event details (space, location and pricing) and provides on-going coordination of such details.
  7. Compiles daily event recaps and prepares final reports on a timely basis.
  8. Maintains company and client owned assets related to assigned project(s) including keeping accurate, up-to-date inventories and adherence to maintenance schedules. Keeps assets in good working condition.
  9. Be familiar with and ensure driver compliance with DOT requirements and trip/fuel reporting.
  10. Enforces compliance with all company policies pertaining to contracts, personnel, purchasing, vehicles and travel expenses.

Qualifications and Requirements


    Education: Undergraduate degree essential; MBA preferable. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    Previous Experience: 3 - 5 years experience working in the event marketing industry or marketing related services.

  6. Experienced in managing large scale projects and events from creative inception to completion.
  7. Not afraid of putting in the over-time that may be required to get the job done.
  8. Have a proactive management style; be punctual, responsible, and attentive to details.
